Event planning is more than just a job…

I have checklists for my checklists. There isn’t a single unread notification on my phone, unanswered text, or mis-colored event in my Google calendar. I love the nitty gritty of event planning and management down to every detail.

Educated and trained in veterinary medicine, I developed my skillset and demeaner in a world where decisions meant life and death, and missing a small detail could have major consequences. My world, like many others, changed drastically in 2020. I was burnt out and no longer appreciating my own [admittedly extensive] collection of critters, and missed my evenings spent curating cocktails behind the bar or serving some of the best food in Vermont. Moreso, I missed making people happy.

I reentered the world of tourism and hospitality, finding a new love for the lodging sector while food & beverage were still resurfacing. Through a series of unmatched opportunities, I expanded my network throughout the State of Vermont, and even New England as a whole, and gained a deeper appreciated for what tourism and events can do to support the place I call home.

Being tied to one venue wasn’t enough. Venues and vendors in Vermont often refer to one another as collaborators, not competitors. If a client wasn’t going to book with my venue, I started to be personally invested in trying to keep them in the circle of local venues that will drop anything to support each other and their community.

I strive to make every one of my clients feel like part of the community they are celebrating in. With over a decade of curating unique contacts and connections, and a push from partners in my community, I finally took the leap and founded Vermont Event Connect: Connecting Clients with Venues, Vendors and Services throughout Vermont

I look forward to connecting with you!
